How To Find The TOEFL Testing Center In Your Area

Where The Hell Is The Testing Center!?!?

Where The Hell Is The Testing Center!?!?

People trying to find The Official TOEFL Testing Center in their area (Country, and City) is a very serious and important part of the process of taking The TOEFL iBT Exam.

The fact that this was the single biggest reason for receiving emails from people all around the world, and that responding to those emails, previously, took up most of my time, is the reason why I took nearly a year to collect and publish all of the official testing centers throughout the world, as given by the official website.

Yes, the official website does give this information, but the problem is – to get this information, one first needs to actually start the registration process to get it.  I don’t know who would actually spend the money to register for the exam before finding out where they actually have to take the damn thing, but I certainly wouldn’t!

I am not exactly sure why the organization that created and administers The TOEFL iBT Exam, makes it so difficult to find this information but don’t worry…  GiveMeSomeEnglish!!! has got you covered. 😉

So Where Is My TOEFL Testing Center?

Where Is My TOEFL Testing Center - GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!

Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a TOEFL Testing Center in Kings Landing, but that could change.

The process of finding The TOEFL Testing Center in your country is actually quite easy.  First – go to the TOEFL Testing Dates and Locations page on The GiveMeSomeEnglish!!! TOEFL Portal.  There, you will see a page with all the letters of the alphabet.

As it says in the directions on that page:  “Click the letter below to see the available locations and dates for each country.”  This means that if you are in the country of Bhutan, then you would click on The Letter B.  If you are in the country of Australia, then you would click on The Letter A.

(I know that this seems rather obvious, but I have actually been contacted by a few people who have had difficulty figuring this out…  none of them where from either Bhutan or Australia…  You guys are good.) 😉

After clicking the letter for your particular country, you will come to a page that lists all the countries in the world, that have support for The TOEFL Exam.  Naturally, you will click the link for your country.

Next – you will see all of the up-coming dates for the locations that have testing centers in your country…  Thus the name, TOEFL Testing Dates and Locations.

“But I Don’t See Any Testing Centers!!!”

Now, this is another area that seems to cause confusion for some people, because – by the definition of the word, “Location”, it would seem that the Testing Centers should be listed here.

The reason they are not is because – (1) These pages were created long before the pages for the testing centers.  (2) Because the information on these pages changes frequently.  (3) Because the information about the dates for each city and each testing center do no correlate precisely.  Not every date is available at each testing center.  (4) The page would be as cluttered and ridiculous as the official website.

It is because of the third reason above, that I always recommend that you register directly at The TOEFL Testing Center that you will be taking the exam at, rather than on-line.  This is because the people at the testing center will know EXACTLY which dates are available and which are not.

The Last Step In The Process!!!

All you have to do now is…  Scroll down to the bottom of the page with the Testing Dates And Locations (for Your Country specifically) and click the link which says…

That page will take you to the same information that is provided by the official website, without having to actually start the process of registering for the exam.

Since I Am In No Way Affiliated With Any Of The Testing Centers, I do not have any more contact information than what is listed.  If there is no phone number or web-site address listed, I do not have that information.  But, a quick Google search for the name of The Testing Center will give you the same information that it will give me.

That being said, the information there is still more than what you will get anywhere else.  (And that is why I ask that you share the page in order to access the information.)

Once you find your TOEFL Testing Center, then I strongly suggest that you think about how much time you need to prepare before actually registering.  I explain this thoroughly in This Blog Post.

If you are affiliated with, or know of a testing center that is not listed on the page that you go to, please let me know.  I will investigate the situation, and if they truly are an official testing center, then I will certainly add them to the list.

Have An Excellent Day!
