TOEFL FAQ: When Will I Get My TOEFL Scores?
This is a question that I receive quite a lot — And frankly it is amazing to me, how many people actually (according to the emails I get) take the exam and have no idea when or how they will actually receive their scores. But I think a lot of people would be very surprised to find out that…
You Will NOT Actually “Receive” Your Scores In The Mail (Or Even By Email!!!)
This is what I just wrote to a person who asked me about this question earlier today…

Thanks for the message.
First of all — “TOEFL Excellence” is not in any way affiliated with the organization that created and administers the exam, so I can not give you the information that you are asking for (meaning that I am not able to send your scores to you).
However — if you have taken the exam, then you will be able to view your scores on-line, approximately 10 days after you have completed the exam. The scores will be available to you through the account that you set up on the official web-site, and the official scores will be mailed to whatever organization (College, University) you listed as a recipient, approximately 13 days after the exam. However — it can take up to a month for them to arrive (depending on the mail for each country).

As An Extra Point
Sometimes I get people writing to me stating that they have registered for the exam, but do not have an account. First of all — this is not possible. This is because, if one registers on-line, it is literally NOT possible to complete (or even start) the registration process without setting up an account… BUT!!!
There Is Another Possibility…
If a person registers for the exam directly at the testing center where they will be taking the exam — (which is what I recommend most people to do) — then the person at the testing center who assisted with the registration process had to have created an account — in which case, they should have provided the test-taker with the account information at that time….
But — Even though it is the responsibility of the person registering you for the exam, it is still YOUR responsibility as The Test-Taker to get that information from them.
Remember — YOU are the only one who you can ever REALLY trust, to take care of YOU 😎
